In this episode, I talk to the wonderful comedian, SAMANTHA DAY.

Day is a comedian who transitioned from a career in accountancy to stand-up comedy. Her comedy career began six years ago, and she has quickly made a name for herself on the comedy circuit, winning numerous awards, including most recently the Leicester Comedy Festival Silver Stand Up Award in 2025. She has delivered the solo show, The Generations Game in 2024 and her new show, The Great British Menu of (Petty) Complaints, is at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025.

I have seen Day live for Tickled Pink: Supporting Women in Comedy at 21 Soho, London in 2022.

I have seen Hester live at Monkey Business Comedy Club in London and his solo show, I am Napoleon at the Hastings Comedy Festival both in 2022, and the British Comedian of The Year at The Comedy Store in London in 2023.

An ingenious idea from the nominee for the WeGotTickets Musical Comedy Awards 2017 and 2018, and winner of the TenFootCity Comedian of The Year 2017. His inspired Leicester and Edinburgh Fringe shows have been highly acclaimed year after year.

I have seen Frizzle as a guest for Late Night Jokes On Us at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2022, his solo show, Let’s Get Friz Frizzle (to the tune of ‘Let’s Get Physical’) at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2023, and The ACMS Awards at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023.
