  • The Lord Give You Peace — with guest Terry A. Smith
    Jun 30 2025

    Description:

Peace isn’t the absence of problems—it’s the presence of God’s unshakable wholeness in the middle of them. In this powerful episode, Pastor Terry A. Smith shares how shalom—the peace that comes from God—brings not only personal restoration but community transformation. Drawing from Scripture and over three decades of ministry experience, Terry and host Doug Stringer offer timely wisdom for anyone seeking hope, purpose, and the courage to keep going.

    You’ll discover how to:

    • Embrace shalom as a way of life—one that leads to flourishing, harmony, and spiritual vitality
    • Serve your city with humility and impact, just as the early Church did
    • Reignite your calling, even when dreams are delayed or detoured
    • Hold onto God’s promises when the going gets tough
    • Experience revival by becoming a vessel of Christ’s peace in a broken world

This conversation will inspire you to carry peace into the chaos, and walk confidently in God’s strength—no matter your circumstances.

Listen now and be encouraged to press on, press in, and live sent.

  • I ALMOST QUIT - A Transforming Leadership Conversation with Doug Stringer and Guest Shane Idleman, Pastor, Author, and Influencer
    May 31 2025

In this gripping and deeply authentic conversation, Doug Stringer sits down with Shane Idleman, founding pastor of Westside Christian Fellowship and author of I Almost Quit. Together, they explore the often unseen struggles of leadership, the dangerous drift toward cultural compromise in the Church, and the revival power found in brokenness and humility.

Shane shares candidly about his journey—from fitness industry success and steroid abuse to personal surrender and pastoral calling. Doug and Shane delve into spiritual discipline, the role of physical health in ministry, emotional burnout, and the subtle lure of platform over purpose.

Listeners will be challenged and encouraged by insights on:

    • Reviving the fire of faith through spiritual hunger

    • Worship as a lifestyle, not just music

    • Navigating leadership through spiritual dryness and discouragement

    • The necessity of truth paired with humility in a culture of compromise

    • Why God sometimes allows the thorn to remain

If you've ever felt like giving up—or if you are currently in the midst of your own detour—this episode will remind you that God can use even your darkest seasons to spark deep transformation and a renewed call to purpose.
