Today, we are in 1 Peter 2. While reading 1 Peter in 2000, my family celebrated our parents Golden Anniversary, fifty years of marriage. It was a joyous occasion. Do you celebrate joyous occasions? Do you maintain your desire for the pure milk of the Word?

In James 4, we are going to learn about worldliness, quarrels, resisting the devil, and boasting about tomorrow. Any, or all of these instructions, would change the way we live. Which one will get your attention?

In James 3, James tells us to control our tongues. Easier said than done?

In James 2, we learn faith without works is dead. Does your faith in Christ produce good works? Do your good works produce fruit for Jesus?

The theme of the Book of James is living out one’s faith, being a doer and not just a hearer of the Word. James rebukes his readers for their worldliness and challenges them to seek divine wisdom.

We reached the final chapter of Hebrews, chapter 13. We will learn a few more instructions about how to live a life of faith. Do you honor the institution of marriage? Do you honor money?
