    Back in 2020 Halima Imane Zoubai gave an interesting artist talk as part of our 'Agar Red Gold' programme. She tells us about her work, and in particular a research project she worked on as translator and research assistant in El Jadida in 2019 on algae. We are so lucky to have her honest reflects on ecology, the Moroccan art scene and the ethics of art and research.

  • Yasmine Benabdallah on Filmmaking, Memory and Ritual

    Yasmine Benabdallah is a filmmaker, visual artist, and writer, born and raised in Morocco. She studied film and mathematics at Columbia University in New York, before moving to Paris to attend the Experimental Programme in Political Arts at Sciences Po (SPEAP) and is now a PhD candidate in the states.

    In her work, she explore stories around memory, performance, embodiment, diaspora, archives, rituals, and time travel.


    This is a recording from a closed zoom talk which Yasmine gave as part of the Red Gold online residency in 2021. Some parts, where she shows films or works in progresses, have been removed for copyright purposes.
