Three Key Facts on Abortion - pregnancy is too complicated to legislate, most women/people cite economic reasons why they do not want an unplanned pregnancy and half already have children/primary caregivers to aging parents. These aren’t party girls who want to have “due date” abortions or go on some “abortion tourism”. The vast majority of abortion occur at 10 - 13 weeks gestation. Later in pregnancy abortions are mainly to save a woman’s life or prevent major complications, they’re usually wanted pregnancies that go wrong.
