About this listen

Adegboyega Ojo is a professor at Carleton University’s School of Public Policy and Administration and the Canada Research Chair in Governance and Artificial Intelligence (AI). His research focuses on how AI, data-driven innovation and advanced analytics improve government services and address societal challenges while ensuring ethical implementation. He examines the technical and policy conditions needed for AI adoption in the public sector, with a focus on transparency, accountability and social impact.

Previously, Ojo was a faculty at Maynooth University and led the E-Government Unit at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, University of Galway. He also worked at the United Nations University in Macao, supporting governments in digital transformation. An associate editor for Government Information Quarterly, Digital Government: Research and Practice, and Information Polity, he holds a PhD in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) from the University of Lagos.
