    this month, emily and jane (mom!!!!!) are talking about ya fiction and how it has changed through time. in this episode, i reckon with the fact that i was reading ya as many as FIFTEEN YEARS AGO, among other things. this week, we read up a road slowly by irene hunt, and discuss having a village instead of a nuclear family, the importance of breaking cyclical family dynamics, and how publishing worked before amazon. next week, we'll move into the aughts and talk all things dairy queen.
