She earned a BBA in Business Administration from Western Michigan University and a Juris Doctor of Law from Detroit College of Law. From 1999 to 2023, she served as a Wayne County Circuit Court judge before becoming the chief judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan, the largest circuit court in Michigan.

From 2008 to 2011, he played in the NFL and since 2022 he's been a sideline reporter for WJR and its MSU Spartans Football broadcasts.
