God instituted the rainbow covenant with Noah and his descendants in Genesis 9. God promised that He would never destroy the earth by flood again. “This is the covenant that I promise to keep: I will never cause water to destroy all living things on the earth again. Deep water will never again come again to destroy the earth.’ When I see the rainbow in the clouds, I will remember my covenant. It is a promise that I have made with every kind of living thing on the earth.’” ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭9‬:‭11‬, ‭16‬ ‭EASY‬‬.

However, God has told us in the very near future, He is going to destroy the earth by fire. “The great day of the Lord will suddenly happen. That will surprise people, like when someone comes to rob them. There will be a very loud noise in the sky. The whole sky will go away. Fire will burn the whole universe and it will destroy everything. The earth and everything that people have done on it will then be in the open.” ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬ ‭EASY‬‬.

God invites us all to enter into the New Covenant, mediated by His Son Jesus, and have our sins forgiven so that we can save ourselves from this wicked and corrupt generation and the soon coming destruction that is to come upon the earth.
