  • Episode 3: "Blue" Luke Andrews-musician, producer and composer.

    "Blue" Luke Andrews, born and raised in Mendocino County's serene wilderness near the Dos Rios Eel River area, picked up the guitar at age 12 and never looked back. He was offered a management contract at the age of 17, and later graduated from The Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. After graduation, he was recruited by Julian Marley to play in Marley's Uprising Band where he toured extensively around the world, recorded and co-produced with Julian, Stephen and Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley. As a teenager he immersed himself fully in the world of music and studied the blues, reggae and eventually the expansive art form of jazz. He now resides in Mendocino County with his wife and 2 daughters and plays locally as well as touring with Julian Marley and The Uprising Band. He is truly Mendocino County's own, a local legend and a real life guitar hero. Enjoy, Blue Luke.

She shares her experiences with Art Walks in the big cities and how important local art and music scenes are for the youth as an outlet for creative expression and better overall health and wellness for the community. Jazzminh will be showcasing Mendocino College student artwork for The First Friday Art Walk on May 2nd, 2025 at The Lot on Main (220 Main St and Stanley St) in downtown Ukiah for The May Day Event featuring live music from BP3 (5-8pm) sponsored by Mendo Utopia.
