About this listen

My name is Amy Jung, founder of CornerstoneChristCenteredCoaching.com and writer at WastelandToGraceland.com. Join me bi-weekly for a thought-provoking journey through essential questions for living the Christian life that will help you coach yourself and the people you love. I've been talking and praying with my friend, Suzanne Heitzman, every Tuesday morning for over fifteen years. In each episode, I ask her the same question I ask myself and you. Questions bring honor and value to our relationships and help us live out a life congruent with our faith before the Lord and others.Amy Jung Christianity Ministry & Evangelism Spirituality

  • 9. Have I Learned Contentment?
    Dec 6 2022
In this episode Suzanne and I share some thoughts on growing in contentment. I share five ways the Christian shows contentment from Thomas Watson's book: The Art of Divine Contentment. Here is a link to my Christmas devotional on Amazon, Beyond the Nativity: https://a.co/d/el4gZiD This book consists of twenty devotions Each devotion includes scripture to read, questions to ponder, and a historical painting of the nativity to view. The beautiful art in this book coupled with the deep truths of the incarnation are just what the Christ-follower's heart desires leading up to Christmas.

  • 8. What Dreams and Desires Get In the Way of More Fully Embracing Jesus and Others?
    Nov 20 2022
As Christians, we should be most content with Jesus. What dreams or desires get in the way of this for you? Additional questions: Are my dreams and desires more appealing to me than Jesus’ embrace? Am I embracing the dream or Jesus, the dream-giver? After establishing that answer, I’m moving on to the next level of contentment: Am I thinking correctly about God, the truths of who I am in Christ, and what I have in Him? Do these truths impact my perspective of life and my level of contentment? If I answer no, I go on to the next level: Why? Am I ignoring God’s working in my heart to look to Him for something? Am I holding onto sin or false belief?
