God's presence is awe-inspiring. Drawing close to him is itself an enormous blessing and privilege: we are spending time with the God of the whole universe and He wants to spend time with us as well! To grow closer in your relationship with God, some things are especially useful. One of these is humility. Being willing to be so lost in praise and joy in God's presence that you cease to think about dignity and pride is a key ingredient in becoming a person who God delights to dwell with.

How do you respond when your back is against the wall and you don't know what to do about it? Believe it or not, the Bible has the answer. King David was in a life-or-death situation where he had lost everything and his own followers were preparing to kill him, but instead of panicking or fleeing, or even fighting, he drew his strength from God and sought the Lord's leading. We too can learn how to tap into this supernatural strength, so that we can overcome any challenge.

God made us to reign with him and to walk in the power of his Spirit. Sometimes we think we have to wait for Heaven to be able to live in God's kingdom, but while the full realization is waiting for Christ's return, he has given us authority and power now to live like we are in his kingdom already.
