Season 2

Season 2 kills off a main character. I suggest sticking to season 1. The only good part of this podcast is the lead actor, so why kill him kff.

thoroughly enjoyed this so far.

I'm only on season one but I've really enjoyed it so far. I like the characters, and it's refreshing to hear a story with a plot that hasn't been ran into the ground like zombies or something.

Season 1 Great. Season 2 Boring.

Season 1 did a good job of going detailing what an society would go through if individuals took it upon themselves to govern. The Itani family gets caught having to deal with people who essentially becomes dictators. Although, Simon is very naive about everything, his wife Carla knows the deal and forces him to see what’s going on. You kind of get annoyed by how much of a push over Simon is. Although, that’s probably how most people would be like if something like this were to happen. Besides that, season 1 did a good job of building characters and drawing out a good storyline.

Season 2 however… major drag. The story circulates around Carla Itani’s friend Wren Foster and her family. From the get go, you get a sense of entitlement from Wren and her naïveté when it comes to trusting people. The world is going down the drain and she’s still holding old grudges with her dad. The episode where she’s having some sort of dream after falling in the shower was totally unnecessary imo. Coulda been done without that long drawn out scenes of her childhood and realizing how much of horrible daughter she really was. Now Wren’s daughter Lana, typical teenager story of rebellion and being an asshole. That type of trope gets old real quick. Big lack of character development.

Acting was great. Storyline was not.

1 season - amazing 2 season - terrible

I recommend listening to the 1 season only cause 2 one is a horrible bait and switch. You think you will follow the journey of Simon Itani and his family like in the first season but nope. At the beginning of the season they kill him and make a horrible person out of him which just doesn't make any sense with the story they portrayed in the 1 season with family sticking together and him fighting for them all to survive. Instead in the 2 season they implement story of a friend that comes to Itani family Wren that is just such unlikeable character along with her family (Lana her daughter is as equally horrible as her mother) that is just so hard to listen. You can tell woke feminism cast a shadow over this story since they made every male character either weak and pathetic or just evil. I honestly wanted to stop listening after they killed Remi Malek off and made him a horrible father and husband. It's sad that they destroyed such a good story. If you want to listen I recommend 1 season cause it's really good and the acting is on point just spare yourself the pain of the 2 season cause in my opinion it's not worth it.

Incredible story

The story and performances were top notch. I could not stop listening.

The ads are pretty annoying. This podcast is so good that I will look into getting the non-ad version.

Started out decent, then had stupid plotholes.

semi spoiler warning:
this started out good. decent cast, good story.
then comes the middle. it was ridiculously laughable.

Why would the characters leave out the fact that the other guy did the other bad thing? none of the other people would say it when it matters, but they're there for him as soon as he gets consequnces? I'm sorry but that is such amateur writing. Could've made a believable story by just changing that, but that 100% ruined it for me.
