The Celtics (60-21) reached 60 wins in back-to-back seasons with Friday night's (130-94) win over the Charlotte Hornets at TD Garden. The Celtics pulled away from the Hornets with a 37-Point 3rd Quarter. The Celtics hit 23 3's and shot 51.6% overall from the field.

Scoring Leaders: Payton Pritchard (4 3's) scored 22 and Sam Hauser (6 3's) scored 20 with both coming off the bench in the win. Derrick White scored 19. Jayson Tatum had 16 Points, 8 Rebounds & 8 Assists.

Jrue Recognized with Red's Award: Prior to Friday's game Jrue Holiday was recognized as this year's Red Auerbach award recipient. The award for the Celtics legend is given to a player or coach who best exemplifies the spirit of what it means to be a Celtic though exceptional performance on and off the court. Derrick White won the award for the 2023-2024 Season.

Reaching 60 Wins: The Celtics have now won 60 or more games in a season for the 15th time in franchise history and it's the most of any NBA teams. The Celtics won 66 games and an NBA title back in 2007-2008 and won 62 games the next season and that was the previous time where they went back-to-back with 60-win seasons.

1st-Half Nuggets: The Hornets and Celtics were tied at 25 after the 1st Quarter. Boston trailed by 7 in the 2nd quarter but came back and went into the locker room with a 54-53 lead at Halftime. Al Horford hit 3 3's in the 2nd Quarter and led the Celtics with 13. Kristaps Porzingis scored 11 in the 1st-Half but shot just 2-for-11 from the field and 2-for-7 on 3's. Payton Pritchard reached double-figures with 10 in the 1st Half. Derrick White scored 9 of the 1st 11 points for the Celtics and that was his point total for the 1st 24 Minutes.
