A California mom now charged with murder after driving drunk, killing her 4-year-old daughter. Juliette Acosta, 26, crashed her SUV into a canal. The sound of the crash is loud enough to get the attention of those living nearby including Acosta's uncle and a neighbor. Acosta's Subaru SUV lands partially submerged in the canal. Acosta's uncle jumps into the water, helping Acosta get out of the vehicle, but is unable to find 4-year-old Reagan.

The 26-year-old mother is not on the scene when officers arrive, however, the deputy immediately jumps into the water to see if the girl is still inside the vehicle. The deputy finds Reagan Herrin still buckled in her seat. With help from Acosta's uncle, the men break the little girl free. The deputy performs CPR as an ambulance arrives. Acosta has gone to a nearby home and reportedly is taking a bath when deputies arrive. Acosta is arrested and initially charged with felony DUI. Her BAC is nearly three times over the legal blood alcohol limit.

Now charged with murder, drunk driving, and a host of other related offenses, Juliette Acosta will remain in the county jail on a no-bail warrant.
