  • June 17th: Kindness That Counts: How Helping Others Honors God | Carpooling with Jesus
    Jun 17 2025

Hey Carpool Crew! 🚗 Whether you’re snacking in the backseat or helping mom push the cart at the store, today’s episode is all about something powerful — God-level kindness.

    We’re diving into Proverbs 19:17 —

“Kindness to the poor is a loan to the Lord, and He will give a reward to the lender.” (CSB)

This isn’t just “be nice because you’re told to.” This is deep, heart-first kindness — the kind God sees, honors, and loves.

    Inside today’s episode, you’ll learn:

    • What Proverbs teaches about helping others in need

    • How God views acts of kindness as gifts to Him

    • Why Jesus said “whatever you did for the least of these, you did for Me”

    • Practical ways kids can show kindness right now — at home, at camp, or in the neighborhood

💬 Big Question to Talk About Together: Who is someone in your life who might need extra kindness right now?

🎯 Parent Challenge: Brainstorm one way your family can serve someone this week. Ideas include:

    • Donating food or clothing

    • Inviting a family over for dinner

    • Helping someone who's feeling left out

Remember, no matter where you are or how you're listening... God loves you.

  • June 16th: Why Jesus Served (and Why We Should Too!) | Carpooling with Jesus
    Jun 16 2025

Hey Carpool Crew! 🚗 Whether you're heading to summer camp or chilling while your Xbox warms up, today's episode is packed with purpose.

    We’re looking at Mark 10:45 —

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (CSB)

That one sentence from Jesus changes everything. Back in His day, kings were treated like royalty (literally!). But Jesus flipped it upside down: the greatest one is the one who serves.

    We’ll unpack:

    • What was happening when Jesus said this

    • Why this lesson blew the disciples’ minds

    • What it means to live with a “serve-first” attitude

    • And how you can serve others this week — at home, in your neighborhood, at camp, or at church!

💬 Big Question to Talk About Together: What's one thing you can do this week to serve someone else?

Remember, no matter where you are or how you're listening... God loves you.

  • SPECIAL EPISODE: Father's Day on Carpooling with Jesus
    Jun 14 2025

🚗 Father’s Day Special — Carpooling with Jesus

Hey Carpool Crew! Whether you're in the car, eating cereal at the kitchen table, or riding your scooter down the sidewalk—this Father’s Day episode is just for you.

🦸 It’s time to play: REAL DAD or SUPERHERO? Spoiler alert: While dads don’t wear capes or shoot webs, they love, protect, and lead in powerful ways that reflect the heart of God.

Today, we’re looking at Jesus’ earthly dad, Joseph, and what made him the kind of father God chose for His Son. Joseph didn’t have fame or superpowers—but he had courage, obedience, and grit. Through him, and through His Heavenly Father, Jesus learned what it means to love with strength and serve with heart.

    📖 Key Verses:

    • Matthew 1:20–24 — Joseph listens to God’s voice

    • Matthew 2:13–15 — Joseph protects his family

    • John 5:19 — Jesus follows the Father’s example

    • Psalm 68:5 — God is a Father to the fatherless

💡 Big Lesson: Great dads show us a glimpse of what God is like—loving, present, and kind. And even if your dad isn’t around or doesn't get it right, your Heavenly Father always does.

    👟 Action Steps for Kids:

    • Say thank you to your dad or a dad-like person

    • Pray for them to have strength and wisdom

    • Forgive when they mess up

    • Spend time with them—it’s the best gift

🎙️ Story Moment: Imagine Jesus as a kid, hammer in hand, missing the nail—and Joseph saying, “Good job, son. Keep trying. I’m proud of you.” That’s the kind of love every kid needs. And that’s how God sees you.

💬 Discussion Question: What’s something your dad—or a dad-like person—has done that made you feel really loved or special?
