Chameleon: Dr. Miracle

By: Sony Music Entertainment / Campside Media
  • Summary

  • A wellness center some called Miracle Ranch, nestled in the scenic mountains of Southern California, promised a luxurious escape and a path to wellness through clean, alkaline living. Its leader, Dr. Robert O. Young, attracted wealthy clientele with his “groundbreaking” health protocols and friendly, family-man persona. But beneath the serene surface, Miracle Ranch harbored a dark secret. The people who stayed there didn’t get better; they got worse. Through legal documents and candid interviews with former patients and employees, law enforcement officials, and affected family members, this series unravels the chilling true story of one man who convinced scores of people that cancer is not a cell but an “acidic, poisonous liquid,” and how his popular “alkaline diet” turned deadly. Incredible stories, but horrible Audible presentation

I'm on season 5 of this podcast and the story lines are very well done and researched and narrated. But Audible really undercuts the journalism done here (and on many other podcast...presenters? platforms? media platforms producing multiple seasons and stories within a single entity?) by forcing the media into a very clunky interface that presents all seasons in a single flow, and no matter what I do, between my 3 devices, it always reverts to the season 1 teaser.
Anyways. Hoping Audible gets better user experience, because then this podcast would be a TEN! I'm giving it 5 stars across the board because these UX issues aren't the podcasters' fault.

really good, confusing audible listing

this podcast is very good, but the description and title on audible is extremely confusing. it looks like the overall podcast is deep dive into scams, with each scam having mang episode/a season. the title/description is just for the third season only,. hopefully that gets fixed 🤞

interesting

Found this from a commercial that kept interrupting another podcast. Originally I thought i was just going to hear about the wild boys but ended up hearing about all of these other true crimes. Slightly misleading but it was interesting enouph. I ended up skipping through because I was mostly intrigued by the wild boys story, which I had not heard about prior to this.

What?

Not bad. Story was decent. Many more ads than any other podcast I have listened to here. ONE MORE THING.....the podcast is about an ENTIRELY different subject than the title AND description. It is about a scam of Hollywood in Indonesia. Has ZERO connection to the title and desxription.

Underwhelming Story with Obscene Amount of Ads

This is a podcast of advertisements with intermissions of weak storyline that is far, far too drawn out. You could literally deliver the underwhelming stories in a couple of episodes, even with ads!!!
