My spectral spectators, welcome back! 🌙

Linda's gone full telly addict this week — obsessed with Married at First Sight Australia... a show I’m convinced was summoned from some kind of chaotic spirit realm. From there, we fall deep into Naked Attraction chat (steady!) and come up with some brilliant new reality TV formats of our own. Believe me, this is why Linda gets paid the big bucks — all £7 an hour of them.

Then we chat about my recent trip to Amsterdam... to watch our very own Glowe perform. Turns out, the welcome over there for us Brits these days is... well, frosty. I'll tell you all about it.

This week’s spooky contributions come from all over — starting with Tara Burns, who sent in an article about a tarot curse (I’m sure we’ve seen this one before, but the spirits like a repeat).

Then a ghostly tale from Kaz Hazelwood… followed by an interview with Tracey Graham about things that go bump in the night.

We chat about our upcoming shows too:

👻 Sunday Séance at The 100 Club — 7th Sept

🎙️ Cheerful Earful Podcast Festival — 19th Oct

Come see us live! Spirits willing…

More chills as we read from Life Saving Spirit in Take A Break Fate & Fortune… and I chat to Archie Orme — that's right, the lad from Glowe’s band — about his very own spooky experience.

Plus — a little bonus this week — the trailer for Barry from Watford’s brand new podcast on talkSPORT, including a clip of Barry chatting to Watford legend Troy Deeney. Lovely stuff.

    With thanks to:

Kathrine Boyle, Tara Burns, Kaz Hazelwood, Tracey Graham, Archie Orme, and Barry from Watford

Plus Glowe and Sundown Studios for our play-out music:

  • Season 8 - Episode 8
    May 23 2025

    Greetings, my spectral spectators!

    Yes, that’s right—it’s Series 8, Episode 8.

This week, I channel my inner news anchor, kicking off the episode with a rundown of the headlines. Expect chaos, confusion, and at least one mention of paranormal parking violations.

🧑‍🍳 Back in the studio, Linda (begrudgingly!) tells us all about retro cooking—dishes like fish, mash and parsley sauce that haven’t seen the light of day since the 80s school dinner tray.

Naturally, this opens the floodgates for Clinton’s Retro Food Hour, as we go full Delia meets Derek Acorah.

👂 Then we get into it:

    • Whispered Warnings – a woman hears ghostly messages before disaster strikes.
    • Pub Spirits – the classic tale of a haunted local. Grab a pint and prepare for goosebumps.
    • Vicky Leith – who INSISTS her story isn’t spooky. Spoiler: it is. We investigate in two parts, and it gets… tense.
    • The Ghost Called John (and the Mystery of the Parking Space) – possibly the most British haunting ever.

🔮 We hit the Problem Pages, tackling paranormal conundrums with the usual spiritual sass.

🏛️ I speak to Marie Claire from Ilkley’s Kings Hall, who shares a haunting that might make you think twice before ignoring creaky floorboards.

🐞 Then: a story of the Death Watch Beetle (not a goth band—though it should be), and we catch up with Sam Redmond from Factory Live for more strange goings-on.

There’s retro nonsense, ghostly warnings, and haunted parking bays... and if that doesn’t tick all the boxes, I’ll eat my ectoplasmic hat.

    Listening now... if you dare.

    Clint x

  • Season 8 - Episode Seven
    May 16 2025

    🔮 Series 8 – Episode 7!

“Cleaning Back Teeth?!” Yes, apparently that’s my name now. We kick off this week with a clip from the one and only Steve Gardner, who shares a frankly unhinged tale of spiritual miscommunication. ✨🦷

Then Linda (who definitely doesn’t believe in ghosts, thank you very much) chats about getting a decent night’s kip, and we talk all things sleep—the snoring, the dreams, and the ghosts that keep you up at night.

👻 Then we move into the madness:

    • An email from Alastair Strong
    • A tale of me nearly running something over (not a ghost, don’t worry)
    • Bite-Size Shivers: Unlucky 13 strikes again!
    • Sarah from the Lyceum tells us about Cheryl Baker (yes, that Cheryl!)
    • A singer dreams something strangely prophetic...

💭 We dive into problems next:

    • Are there bullies in heaven?
    • What if you're stuck with people… forever?
    • Why some people talk utter sheeeite just to fill the silence (you know who you are).

🎭 Then we’re off to Worthing’s Factory Live

    • Chatting to Andy Fox, followed by spooky tales from Sam Redmond
    • Oh, and I reveal the trauma of going on a cruise... in disguise 😳⚓

🛌 Barry from Watford returns with more ASMR—softly spoken? Yes. Soothing? You will sleep well tonight Barry assures you.

And we wrap up with a bit of food chat (as always).

    Stay spooky, my loves.

    Clint x

  • Season 8 - Episode Six
    May 9 2025

🏚️ Horror in the House—a chilling tale from Fate & Fortune about a son haunted by a dark presence.

    💔 Love After Life—a heart-wrenching story of a husband’s ghostly return.

Then, more hauntings from the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe, as we speak to AJ in Part One of a fascinating ghostly encounter.

    Next, we tackle:

🃏 Tarot from Terror—when the cards reveal something sinister...

🎭 AJ returns for Part Two—more eerie happenings at the Lyceum Theatre.

And then… hold onto your chakras!

📢 Barry from Watford introduces his ASMR segment—because if anyone can make whispers sound unnerving, it’s Barry.

We round things off with some classic dilemmas:

🏠 Overstaying your welcome—when ghosts aren’t the only ones who don’t know when to leave.

💔 A suspicious boyfriend—when paranoia meets possibly justified gut feelings.

🥡 And finally, some chat about Chinese food—or rather, my severe lack of food.

Stay spooky, my loves! See you next week!

    Spiritually yours,

    Clint x

    🔮 Clinton Baptiste: Season 8 – Episode 5! 🎙️👻

We’re back, my spectral spectators, and this week Linda’s been banging on about Sabrina Carpenter—apparently the pop sensation of the moment. 🎶 Clinton, of course, remains clueless.

We chat about music, the final leg of my tour, and meeting up with old school friends—including some unexpected blasts from the past.

    Then, onto the spooky stuff:

🌈 A Rainbow Revelation from Fate & Fortune—a sign from beyond, or just really good weather?

🛏️ A haunted bedroom story from Adam Wilkins—things going bump in the night, and not in a good way…

👻 We speak to Adam himself—did he survive to tell the tale?

Then we head to Crewe Lyceum Theatre, where we chat with Sarah, who’s got a ghostly tale from the stage.

We tackle some serious dilemmas from the problem pages:

🤔 Should I dump my best mate? Friendships on the rocks…

😨 What will they think of Mum? Family reputations at stake!

🌍 When will the world end? (Cheery one, that!)

    Stay spooky, my loves!

    See you next week!

  • Season 8 - Episode Four
    Apr 25 2025
    🔮 Clinton Baptiste: Series 8 – Episode 4! 🎙️👻

We’re back, my spectral spectators, and Linda is traumatised—not by ghosts this time, but by dealing with vomit from the school trip. We kick things off with teacher gossip, dodgy rollercoasters, and fairs that look like they were built overnight by ghosts with a grudge. 🎢🤢

Then, we dive into listener emails and spooky stories:

📧 Emails from Mark Kilby & Martyn Rowlands—what paranormal ponderings do they bring?

🚗 A Fate & Fortune story about dreaming of a car crash—was it a warning from beyond?

✈️ A pilot who died in a dream… and then in real life!?

We also welcome Caroline Nissen, who shares a spine-tingling tale from the haunted Northcott Theatre. 🎭👻

Then, Ruth returns for part two of her phone saga—and this time, she’s merged her entire life with Clinton’s. His diary, contacts… even scheduling a wedding for the two of them! 😱💍 Has she gone too far? (Yes. Yes, she has.)

    More mystical madness follows:

🔥 Letters from Hell—straight from Fate & Fortune’s problem pages!

👰 A Bridezilla problem—when the real horror is the wedding prep…

A dilemma about fulfilling work dreams on a boat—spiritual guidance on the high seas!

🍻 Drinking with the lads—ghosts, regrets, and perhaps the biggest mystery of all: who’s round is it?

Stay spooky, my loves! See you next week!

    Spiritually yours,

    🔮 Clinton Baptiste: Series 8 – Episode 3! 🎙️👻

We’re back, my spectral spectators, and this week Linda’s been off on a school trip—so expect tales of screaming kids, questionable packed lunches, and the sheer horror of organised fun. 🎒

Meanwhile, on my own travels, I’ve made a disturbing observation… people turning up to Premier Inn breakfast in their pyjamas. Is there no dignity left in this world!?

    Then, onto the ghostly goods:

👻 A story from Ryan Thompson (not his best work, let’s be honest)

🕯️ A far better one from Rebecca Chapman (thankfully!)

    📖 A Fate & Fortune classic—A Ghostly Uprising!

🏚️ A bit of chat about house deeds, nasty landladies & my mate’s neighbour from hell.

Then, we hear a recording from Thea at the Northcott Theatre—what paranormal encounters lurk in the wings? 🎭

Next up, problems from Fate & Fortune, before we return to The 100 Club for Part Three! 🎤👻

✨ Who won the infamous T-shirt giveaway? The tension is unbearable!

And just when you thought things couldn’t get any stranger, Ruth makes an entrance—this time, I'm on a mission to find a missing mobile phone. God help us all.

Stay spooky, my loves! See you next week!

    🔮 Clinton Baptiste: Series 8 – Episode 2! 🎙️👻

We’re back, my spectral spectators! Episode 2 is here, and it’s a wild ride through the mystical, the mysterious, and the mildly ridiculous.

I check in with Linda, who’s been on a mission to get Taylor Swift tickets—only to end up at a tribute act instead! Was it just as good? Well, she’s got thoughts… 🎤💃

Then, it’s time for listener stories and paranormal ponderings:

📜 A letter from Dan Covington—what spectral secrets does he reveal?

📧 An email from Kelly Evans sparks a discussion about Stone Tape Theory—are memories held within walls? Spirits watching us through the bricks!? 🏚️👀

🕰️ A haunted carriage clock—psychometry at its finest!

😇 Are homeless people actually angels? A problem page submission gets us thinking...

🔺 A troubling case involving a pentangle—dark forces, or just dodgy décor?

Then, we head back to The 100 Club for Part Two of our live audience ghost stories! 🎤👻 Who will win the prize for best supernatural tale?

And the spooky tales keep rolling in:

🖊️ A story about tattoos—ink with an eerie twist...

💔 A problem about sleeping with an ex—and the ghostly consequences of past mistakes.

Then, a fascinating interview with Choque and Tom Thickett—what insights do they bring from beyond?

    We round things off with:

💀 A Day in the Afterlife with Sandrea Mosses—what really happens when we shuffle off this mortal coil?

🩲 A haunting on MP3 from Jonathan Anstee—a spirit in underpants… or just a very lost hotel guest?!

Stay spooky, my loves! See you next week!
