  • Chat with Ty Gregory: Coda Country Chats - Season 4, Ep. 7
    Oct 9 2024

Ty Gregory and your Chats Pod host, Leigh met at the Whiskey Jam Bootlegger's Tailgate after his set in Jacksonville, FL before the Luke Combs show. Ever since, they've shared witty commentary and dad jokes on the state of country music and life in general while becoming social media friends. If you didn't have the chance to see Ty Gregory playing at the Whiskey Jam events this summer, or maybe somewhere else in the country this year, odds are you're likely to catch him at a Chili's Bar and Grill being a middle-class fancy dad to his two girls.

His newest single, "Pictures of Us" released on September 27th, so be sure to stream it after hearing all about it on this episode of the Coda Country Chats Podcast.

    About Ty Gregory:

Hailing from a small town just 50 miles east of Nashville, Ty Gregory has been sowing his musical roots deep in the Bible Belt since he was just a teenager.

As a young boy, Ty would sit in front of his grandmothers wooden console tv for hours at a time watching 90’s country music videos on CMT. Captivated by the look and sound of artists such as Tracy Lawrence, Joe Diffie and Travis Tritt, Ty knew at a young age that whatever these guys had, he also wanted. As Ty started nearing his teenage years his love for music didn’t fade, but it did however start etching more towards modern hard rock. From bands such as 3 Doors Down, Creed and Staind, Ty grew interest in becoming more than your average listener and decided it was time to learn a musical craft of his own.

Twelve years old with a new tobacco sunburst painted Silvertone guitar from a Sears catalog, Ty quickly began learning to strum chords and eventually he turned those chords into songs. From that point on, Ty became hooked to the concept of playing and creating music of his own and formed countless country and rock bands over the next several years.

A subtle mix of 90’s country twang coupled with melodic overtones and driving beats that can’t help from being considered an anthem, Ty Gregory is a fresh new take on the country format.

  • Chat with Grace Asbury: Coda Country Chats - Season 4, Episode 1
    Sep 4 2024

Having recently released a single collaboration with Dalton Dover, Grace Asbury joins us for the Season 4 premiere of the Coda Country Chats podcast to talk about the song, "Saving You Saved Me". Growing up in Georgia, Grace talks about her move to Nashville and her amazing opportunities she has had in the writers' room.

About Grace Asbury: Channeling both real life, joy, and angst into songs that connect with her audience has made Grace Asbury one of the most notable young artists on today’s country music scene. But it’s more than just her writing chops and strong, warm voice that are propelling Asbury’s career. Asbury has developed her own unique style that merges thoughtful, literate songwriting with her edgy Southern rock-infused sound.Asbury knows the power of music because she’s felt it in her own life, and she wants to have that impact on others. “Songwriting has been super cathartic for me,” she says. “I'm blessed in the fact that I can write my feelings out within a melody, and it helps so much putting it on paper and singing it. And when I listen to other artists like Carrie Underwood or Miranda Lambert, I feel like, ‘Wow! They’ve lived my life. They know me.’ Songwriting is such a powerful thing and it’s great to be able to speak for people who don’t know how to put their feelings into words. Music is really one of the most powerful tools in our world for healing. I want to wrap people up in a blanket of feelings, to provide them the warmth they need in a tough moment. As songwriters, we have this power that God gave us to help people. I want to use that gift.”
