About this listen

Are you committed to improving your mental game in tennis, however, your perfectionism is getting in the way.

In this week's tennis psychology podcast, mental game of tennis expert, Dr. Patrick Cohn answers a question from Stacy.

Here's what Stacy had to say about his game:

"I am a very committed player and I work on mental game strategies (goal setting, focus, concentration, play one point at the time, positive self-talk, etc). However, what if you have perfectionism and thus have confidence and self-doubt issues? How do you manage “not to try too hard” in matches that causes you to tighten up and make mistakes as a result? How do you just get lost in a match game enjoying it without thinking of consequences?

Listen to the podcast to hear what Dr. Cohn has to say about not allowing the mentality of perfectionism and over control get in the way of your game.
