  • Relisha Rudd | Missing from DC
    Jul 9 2025

In 2014, a social worker attempted to make contact with a doctor in a homeless shelter where a little girl named Relisha Rudd lived with her family. The doctor claimed to be treating Relisha for an unspecified neurological condition that caused her to miss a lot of school. But when the social worker arrived at the homeless shelter, he learned this “doctor” was actually a janitor at the shelter and Relisha’s mother couldn’t remember the last time she saw her daughter.

If you have any information relating to the Relisha Rudd case, call D.C.'s Metropolitan Police Department at DC Police at 202-265-9100 or NCMEC at 1-800-THE-LOST.

    This case is *unsolved*

  • Julian and CJ Lewis | The Head of the Serpent?
    Jun 18 2025

In 2002, a home invasion left two people dead but the plot quickly unraveled. The only question–one that would last beyond the deaths of two of the co-conspirators–is who was the mastermind.

    This case is solved.

(Episode correction: Matthew Shallenberger's name is mispronounced as Shallenberg twice in the episode. I am out of town and cannot re-record to correct it.)

I love this podcast, it is very well put together and thought out. I would like to relay some information to the host though on reactive abuse... which is something I have lived through. My abuser, knowing I have PTSD and have certain things that have been shared with them through the course of couple therapy actually used these things against me to elicit responses. The same can be done with anyone, especially given that the person who knows best how to pull those responses from you is often the person closest to you that you trusted with that. thankfully I got out of my abusive situation without becoming a topic of one of your episodes but he is still stalking me so who knows... stay safe and informed

The content is always interesting and presented in an accurate and respectful manner. The host is likable and easy to listen to and follow along with. I admittedly get a little annoyed with being preached at about the same social issues that are out of my control but honestly that’s my one and only complaint.

One of my favorites
