This one-on-one episode finds Nikki and Chad working on Labor Day in order to provide insights into why we celebrate this holiday. They go deep on worker rights, maypoles, the May Day king, whether you should wear white, how budget season works at big companies, and what you should consider if you work from home. This week, Nikki and Chad check in with their long-awaited and eagerly anticipated report from the SBT GRVL race. This week’s one-on-one with Nikki and Chad goes deep on the topic that has everyone’s attention these days – the Paris Olympics. They chat about only the most important zeitgeist topics: how Peacock lets you watch EVERYTHING (if you want), which sports should not be in the games at all, how skateboarding and surfing seem less cool, Kristen Faulkner’s shocking road race victory, which uniforms look best and how it’s just baffling that track participants ignore aerodynamics.

A special Olympic edition with our friend Lara, who is competing in the Mixed Dinghy (470) events August 2-9. We chat with Lara about living in Miami (of course), what it takes to train for her event, who are sailing fans, the deal with professional sailing, the overwhelming food choices in the Olympic Village, brushing shoulders with super-humans and the all-important “race before the race.” Chad and Lara nerd out over Vuarnet optics and Nikki thinks “Mixed Dignhy” would be great on branded merch. This week’s one-on-one has a new feature: professional cyclist Michale Garrison joins us in the studio.
