The nation felt their mother’s despair as she told the harrowing story of a man who drove off with her two young boys after threatening her at gunpoint. Nine days after Michael and Alex disappeared, Susan Smith confessed to the unimaginable – she had killed her sons. Josh and Craig discuss Craig’s heartbreaking interview with David Smith about the deaths of his sons 30 years ago and his ex-wife’s recent bid for parole. Dateline Producer Carol Gable joins Josh to discuss the letters she and Susan Smith have exchanged for the past 20 years and to answer questions from social media.

Love that I can listen on Audible

Love that I can listen on Audible and not have to be in front of the tv! I can put in my ear buds and get lots done while hearing a good true crime! way better than tv!

put together well as usual Dateline. great job

I found it odd that Bob Markham had a buddy run her name in the next day and FBI agent gotta hold of him to say he was investigating her disappearance.. Why wouldn't the FBI agent call her dad during the investigation of her disappearance?

Crooked Cops, Ignorant Jury

The DA should be in prison, along with the officers involved i the investigation. The jurors should sent back to elementary school, since they lack basic intelligence.

Best True Crime Podcast Hands Down

I absolutely love this Podcast. I use this Podcast in the morning on my drive to work and in the afternoon driving back home. The narrator's voice is perfect. It almost feels like you're watching the show on television without the visual. I also really enjoy how it does not sound like a documentary but it's still very intriguing.
