  • Summary

  • On 8 March 2014, a Boeing 777 travelling from Malaysia to Beijing with 239 people onboard disappeared. Despite the most expensive and expansive search in human history, it has never been found.

Was it one of the largest ever acts of mass murder, a hijacking that went wrong, or was it something less sinister like technical failure? Aviation experts have no answers. Politicians have no easy solutions. Families have no bodies to bury.

This Audible Original podcast is co-presented by journalist and broadcaster Jana Wendt and Peter Waring a former Australian naval officer who worked on the search. It re-examines the evidence and tells the inside story of those whose lives have been consumed by aviation’s most perplexing mystery.

Riveting!

Podcasts are not usually my thing. I could not stop listening!

Very well done. Really glad I listened.

Someone needs to make a miniseries. A movie could not do it justice.

An absolutely fascinating ride!

A genuinely amazing "deep dive" into the missing flight MH370. I appreciated hearing about this tragedy from multiple perspectives as I had a boy loosely followed it in the news and remember being confused at the time on how a whole commercial airplane could disappear. I found the aspects discussing the military process for the search, the interagency collaboration, and eventual breakdown really interesting. It's so fascinating how the mental health of the pilot was lightly considered and then basically written off as a factor (so crazy!). We may never know the truth of what happened but this podcast gives us insight into many of the possibilities in an exciting way. I highly recommend!

It Was a Decent Story, But Could Have Been Better

I thought the story was well researched, but it was anti climactic and a let down at the end, but overall it was ok.

Excellent

Was sad when this came to an end. Brilliantly produced, superbly researched and unbiased in its view on what they believed happened. It certainly changed my mind on certain aspects of what happened to MH370. Well done Audible on a great podcast. Hope to see more like it !
