    Episode 140 is on the scene and we welcome Trans-Am Ta2 & NASCAR Xfinity Series Driver Thomas Annunziata to the show. We discuss his career which started in Karting, transitioned to racing spec Miatas and settling into the Trans-Am Ta2 Series where he was multiple events. This success opened doors to run in ARCA where he finished runner up at Daytona of all places in his debut. Thomas is working on pursuing a NASCAR career splitting a NASCAR Xfinity Series ride with Leland Honeyman for Cope Family Racing where he faces new obstacles with a relatively new team.

    Drew Dawson returned to victory lane in the Budweiser Limited Sportsman Division at South Boston Speedway on Saturday. The middle of the three Dawson brothers is our guest and we discuss his big win on Saturday and if he had any words with Zach Peregoy as the two raced hard in the late stages. He also reveals who he would bump out of the way for a win and if he is the best of the three brothers who all race at South Boston.

    We give a full review of God's Pit Crew/First Responders Appreciation night from South Boston over the weekend. Hear from Peyton Sellers, Trevor Ward and Landon Pembleton who finished up front in the late model division. The guys debate if someone who has problems during the first race of a twin bill should be forced to use scuffed tires that has as many laps on them as a driver who finished the first race? Trevor Ward had this happen to him on Saturday as he failed to finish race one but was able to win convincingly in the other race. We also spoke with Landon and Kendall Milam who won in Hornets and Pure Stock on Saturday and they reveal which one like their Uncle is going to do a backflip for the next win.

    We preview the Mini's Mission CARS Tour event from Dominion Raceway. Can Doug Barnes parlay past Dominion success to his first CARS Tour win? Can Connor Hall and JR Motorsports get back on track at a place he's won before? What about Kaden Honeycutt as he returns to the tour? We discuss it all here.

    We review the racing from Michigan where we start part one of a discussion about whether ARCA is still considered the rung below the Truck Series as a development level for talent to run in Trucks, Xfinity and Cup. This stemmed off Brenden "Butterbean" Queen's third win of the season that happened at Michigan over the weekend.

  • Chase Burrow: First Time CARS Tour Winner

    Episode 139 is on the scene with Chase Burrow who is coming off his first career zMAX CARS Tour win which came at his home track of Langley Speedway. He reveals what it means to him, how quickly it sunk in, how it felt for his competitors to congratulate him the way they did and the no nonsense approach to the next race at Dominion. He's had a lot of highs and lows in his career and we talk about it here!

    Speaking of the CARS Tour race, we discuss all the storylines from the annual visit to Hampton Virginia. From Landen Lewis having mechanical issues to Connor Hall chipping away to the overall points lead, the issues between Justin Carroll and Landon Huffman and weighing in on the other storylines coming out of the event.

    We dive into the recent closing of New River All American Speedway and what this could mean for other tracks which inspires Jody to offer a deal to those who may have strayed away from the track.

    Jody and Julian dive into why the Cup Series at Nashville didn't get rave reviews and if Ryan Blaney's win is about to set him up for a championship pursuit.

    Episode 138 is on the scene and we are joined by NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Star Craig Lutz. Lutz talks to us about his win at North Wilkesboro Speedway over a week ago and what he thought overall about the caution filled event that everyone is still talking about. We also dive into his background which started in Late Models while competing at some of the toughest places in the North East including Stafford, Thompson and Waterford Speedbowl where he won multiple races before running the Tour full time since 2014.

    Trackhouse Racing's Bobby Measmer Jr calls into the show fresh off winning at Bowman Gray Stadium in the modified division for the first time since 2018. He tells us whether or not this win as sunk in and the biggest thing that has changed at the stadium since he was a regular there years ago. He also reveals a story that hasn't been revealed anywhere else and reveals how long he has worked for Trackhouse Racing and what the shop was like celebrating Ross Chastain's Coca Cola 600 win.

    Landon Pembelton joins the show again but this time, he's coming off of a win South Boston Speedway during one of their twin Late Model events from over the weekend. Landon discusses his transition from driving for HC Sellers to Marcus Richmond and where he sees their connection at this point in the season.

    We give a full review of the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic event from Franklin County Raceway. Everyone is discussing the dirt that was added when the facility ran out of speedy dry. We give our takes on that plus everything else that took place last Friday night.

    We preview the upcoming zMAX CARS Tour event from Langley Speedway. Will the hometown driver Connor Hall win this event for a third straight season for a third different organization?     Episode 137 is on the scene and we welcome back Kyle Dudley back to the show. Kyle has had a lot of success over the last year. From becoming the 100th winner at South Boston Speedway to winning the pole for two of the three Virginia Triple Crown races last season to winning multiple races at Franklin County Raceway including this past Saturday night. The biggest win of his career came five weeks ago when his first child was born. We discuss what being a dad is like, when she's going to drink formula out of a funnel like her dad does and how many races she's already been to. It's always a fun conversation with Kyle so you don't want to miss it!

    Gary Smith also joins us. Smith competes at Franklin County Raceway in both the Stock 4 and Legends Division and he secured a win on Saturday in the Legends division. He also races at Shenandoah & at Natural Bridge Speedway and explains how he got his start in racing during Covid and what he wants to accomplish in his career going forward.


    We preview the upcoming Kenny Minter Classic presented by Clarence's Steakhouse for the SMART Modified Tour this Friday at Franklin County Raceway and the upcoming ASA STARS National Tour events from Hickory and Newport this weekend.

    With the dominant win from Landen Lewis on Friday, we discuss if he is the new driver that everyone needs to be gunning to beat on tour now that he has back to back wins on the CARS Tour. We breakdown the event at North Wilkesboro that saw the tour race on national, traditional television and debate whether the Pro Late Model and Late Model Stock races should run on seperate days going forward.


    We review the All Star Race at North Wilkesboro which saw Christopher become "Million Dollar Bell." He tells his story of coming up through the ranks in Nashville to winning at the highest level of racing while rattling the cages of legends to his sudden exile from the sport. He reveals what happened that day in 2009 and the events that followed. Plus he gives his take on the current legal issues that involve 23XI and Front Row Motorsports and more.

    We debut our race of the week. Jody reviews the Late Model races from Langley Speedway which saw Matt Waltz sweep both features while Julian dives into the wild Limited Late Model Feature at Ace Speedway which saw Dalton Ledbetter come from the rear twice with a missing right side of his car to nip Chase Murphy at the line for one of the closest finishes you will see. We also take a deep dive into the Spring Fling held at Ace on Friday night. The boys review Viny's Restaurant & Italian Delight Family Restaurant Night from South Boston Speedway. Peyton Sellers swept the Late Model events and edges closer to Trevor Ward's points lead. Since this puts him 14 races behind all time leader Phillip Morris, we debate when Sellers can catch him. We also review first time winners from both the Budweiser Limited Sportsman and Southside Disposal Pure Stock events won by Tristan Brunelli and Dillon Davis respectively while Landon Milam returned to victory lane in the Hornets. Who can compete with Kyle Larson? Well no one did at Kansas so we debate on who is number two right now in the Cup Series to best challenge Larson.

    Bowman Gray Stadium is heating up and review this past weekend's action which saw Burt Myers win his 99th career event at the stadium. Is his bad luck behind him? Time will tell. We preview the action from North Wilkesboro for the CARS Tour, Whelen Modified Tour, Truck Series and Cup Series All Star race and Julian tells us about his recent DNF after his ACE trip that required a tow to the garage area this week on DLN!

  • Landen Lewis & NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Driver Nathan Byrd

    Episode 135 is on the scene and while most of the Mid Atlantic did not race due to rain, the zMAX CARS Tour and Ace Speedway dodged the rain drops just enough to get the entire Late Model race in and over half the Pro Late Model show in to make that official.

    Landen Lewis picked up his second career win on tour on Saturday and he joins us this week from the shops of Kevin Harvick Incorporated. We discuss racing vs the rain, having legendary crew chief Rodney Childers in his pit stall, the continued support given to him by Hall of Famer Ron Hornaday and what has been the key to getting this team within five points of Connor Hall in the championship points race.

    Speaking of which, we give exclusive breakdowns of both the Late Model and Pro Late model event from Ace, should penalties had been assessed to some teams who had flat tires that brought out yellows, and give a state of the Tour following the first third of the season with three drivers separated by five points in the title hunt.

    The Cup Series ran at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday and we review the roller coaster day that saw Joey Logano end up in victory lane from his 27th starting spot. Does Penske Racing seem to have gotten their groove back with two straight wins? How about this racing we see at Texas? Did the boys like what they saw?

    Nathan Byrd obtained his career best finish on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driving for Young's Motorsports on Friday at Texas. The Arizona turned Indiana native joins us to tell us about his career that started off as male cheerleader with racing not being on his radar. His radar eventually led him to karting and after running many disciplines of racing, he had dreams of running the Indy 500 which his family either sponsored entries or owned them. That dream did not come to pass but an entry into the fast speedways of NASCAR opened up and his story is one of the best we have ever told on this program!

    We give a full review of the CARS Tour event at Orange County that saw the two points leaders have trouble and how Kade Brown was the beneficiary, Luke Baldwin's first Pro Late Model win and a deep dive preview of the upcoming event at Ace.

    Talladega is in the rear view mirror. We discuss whether or not these types of races are still must-see events and what NASCAR can do to fix the current product on Super Speedways if it needs to be fixed at all.

    Episode 133 is on the scene and we review NASCAR's return to Rockingham with breakdown and analysis of the Craftsman Truck, ARCA Menards Series East and Xfinity Series events. Hear exclusive comments from Patrick Staropoli and Eloy Falcon who made his series debut on Saturday in the ARCA event. Julian was on the scene and he details what his weekend was like at "The Rock" while also catching up with Layne Riggs who won the first two stages on Friday, Jake Garcia and Nathan Byrd who both obtained their career best finishes in the Truck Series.

    Parker Retzlaff got his career best finish in the Xfinity Series and Harrison Burton finished third which is a career best for his team AM Racing. We have comments from those drivers as well!

    We welcome the winner of the Hayes Jewelers 200 Modified race at Bowman Gray Stadium Brandon Ward back to the show. Ward discusses his bump and run on Burt Myers at the end of the race, his own spin during the event and the overall racing at the Stadium and how the late model team is coming along.

    We also welcome back to the show Cole Bruce. Bruce picked up a Late Model Stock win over the weekend at Langley Speedway marking his first win since 2021. He is armed with a new sponsor and with that, a new outlook on his racing. He discusses his thoughts about Southside Speedway returning and whether or not he wants try his hand at the CARS Tour and Virginia Triple Crown.
