One of my friends was going to a psychic medium and I was like you know, just out of curiosity... I’ve got a healthy dose of skepticism there right, but she’s this sweet little grandmotherly figure I adore and I said make an appointment for me too. So I went and one of the main pieces of advice for her was you need to find a church, so I took it to heart because I love this lady and I was willing to try. So that was the nudge, from a psychic... the Lord really does work in mysterious ways.

Nancy Ashmore has been a part of 11|28 since April of 2024. She found us online after moving to the area and has consistently attended on Sunday mornings ever since. Nancy recently joined a group and is exploring what it might look like to be a part of a serve team. Believing can change your life, but trusting initiates your healing.

Mike Francisco walked through Jesus' interaction with Nicodemus in John chapter 3. Mike compared Nicodemus coming to Jesus in the darkness to our own seasons of wandering and searching. Many who call themselves Christian are spiritually dark. Jesus, the light of the world, invites us to move beyond belief into a place of trust, and a place of healing.

I was 16 years old and I got robbed at gunpoint at a store. That day I literally thought I was done. Literally one of the guys had the pistol right next to my head and it was just such a scary moment. I was just praying at that moment, like I just knew to go into prayer. My mom, you know, at that moment was a single parent and I was just thinking 'oh my gosh what’s gonna happen to her when she finds out that, you know, I was murdered'.

Joél and his family have been with 11|28 since before it had a name back in 2018 when it was just a dream. Joél is super generous with his time, often helping behind the scenes during the week with our mobile church carts, setting up or tearing down on Sunday mornings, or running the lyrics presentation. He loves singing and offers up his voice too.
