King David gives him a warning not to lose this inheritance, and this warning is also meant for us. Those who are faithful to God will receive an inheritance from Him, so when you come face to face with Jesus Christ, make sure He welcomes you into His garden, because I am sure you do not want to be returned where you came from. 'Returning' or 'holding onto' are themes that run through the Word of God.
