• Childline 👉 A UK charity that offers a free phone line, web chat and email service for children to talk to someone about anything they’re facing. Phone the Childline for free on 0800 1111.
• Young Minds 👉 A UK charity fighting for children and young people’s mental health. Young Minds also provide useful information about abuse and how to get help.
• Pippa 👉 Advice, information, and support for women and their children who are experiencing or who have experienced domestic abuse. Phone 02380 917 917 or email pippa@southampton.gov.uk.
• Yellow Door 👉 specialist support and prevention services for anyone at risk of or affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence/abuse or other forms of interpersonal harm.
• Refuge 👉Free 24/7 domestic abuse helpline for women and children. Phone 0808 2000 247.
• Safe Lives 👉 A UK charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse. Safe Lives is running a campaign called #FriendsCanTell which is a campaign that aims to educate and empower young people to spot abuse in relationships and support their friends. Useful definitions:

• Domestic abuse - Domestic abuse is sometimes called ‘domestic violence’ and it can involve an adult threatening, bullying or hurting another adult in their family or who they’re in a relationship with. Young people can directly or indirectly experience domestic abuse as a result of the hurt that an adult is causing another adult in their family. (Children’s Society)
• Sexual violence - 'Sexual violence' is a term used to describe any sexual activity that happened without consent. This includes rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse and sexual harassment (to name just a few). (Rape Crisis)
• Clare’s Law – The Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS), also known as “Clare’s Law” enables the police to disclose information to a victim or potential victim of domestic abuse about their partner’s or ex-partner’s previous abusive o
