Romans 9:1-3

A wise, elderly saint once gave a discouraged young believer this piece of advice: "Remember this: the devil is mighty, but God is Almighty." When the Roman Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity, he delayed his baptism until he was on his death bed. He was apparently afraid that his sin or the circumstances of earthly life could cause him to fall from a state of grace and separate him from God.
