"Tim Packer joined the Cove in September 2021 after moving to Waco with his wife and three daughters. He previously worked in Edinburgh, Scotland as a Commissioning Officer for homelessness and housing support services. Tim brings over 17 years of experience to the Cove which includes social services design and monitoring, project management, and frontline delivery. Tim has worked with multiple groups amongst those experiencing homelessness but has always had a specific interest in the needs of youth. This interest drew him to the work and mission of The Cove. The focus on youth homelessness led Tim to undertake a doctoral degree that is due to be completed early 2022, his thesis is titled Youth homelessness and the transition to adulthood: how understanding life stage informs effective interventions. Outside of work Tim enjoys running, spending time with his extended family in Waco, and reading."
