After just two weeks in office, Attorney General Pam Bondi announces the release of documents related to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The Justice Department releases a statement to accompany ‘Phase 1’ clarifying that the declassified files largely contain documents that have been previously leaked but never released in a formal capacity by the US government. While many were expecting Epstein’s client list, hoping it would contain bombshell implications, the majority of the roughly 200-page document dump is made up of previously disseminated information like Epstein’s contact list and the flight logs from his private jet.

Amid public disappointment with the document dump, Bondi fires off a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, claiming a source at the New York FBI Field Office informed her there were thousands of pages of documents connected to the Epstein case still in their possession. Bondi demands that the remaining documents are delivered to her office by 8:00 am the next day, and Patel lead an investigation to find out why her orders were not followed.

Bondi has now stated her office has received a “truckload of evidence” that Bondi says is the remaining Jeffrey Epstein documents withheld by the FBI. Bondi claims Director Patel is getting to the bottom of why they were withheld while other agents work to redact the remaining files. Bondi promises, “If something’s redacted, you will know the line and you will know why it’s redacted.” Many expect new indictments based on the content of the files.
