Meanwhile, Musk's rivalry with OpenAI's Sam Altman continues to intensify. Business Insider Africa reports that OpenAI is planning to launch its own social network, potentially to compete with Musk's X platform. Bill Gross of Idealab suggested one motivation might be that "Altman doesn't like Musk, so why not start competing head-on with X?"

In a disturbing development, Full Fact has identified deepfake videos circulating on Facebook that falsely show BBC presenters promoting an alleged Musk investment project. The BBC has confirmed these videos are fake, created using voice cloning and AI technology.
