I am a huge Susan Wokoma fan so I was instantly engaged. I have never watched K-Dramas or listened to K-Pop, but this adorable series has my interest piqued in both! This was such a lovely way to spend a day! I found myself giggling like a teenager listening to this story.

A rom com with a Black woman and Asian man is so unique in fiction. I know there is a genre dedicated to BWAM romance, but to have a fully produced radio-play takes it to a whole new level. Wow this would be an amazing series! Hint hint Amazon!

Full disclosure, I took over my father-in-law’s Amazon account solely to listen to this story. I listened to it one day. One. It’s that good.

I’m honestly too hyped up to write anything eloquent, but Shenee Howard knocked it out of the park. The characters were so real and enjoyable! The cast did an amazing job, too (huge props to the foley artist!).

I’m anxiously awaiting a sequel. At least I have Howard’s debut novel, Dear Plant Daddy to look forward to in November!

Pure unapologetic fantasy of a life-worn British girl with try-hard spirit who goes to Seoul on a an impossible whim to escape a string of sad life events. Once there, her luck seems to improve even though evidence of that is difficult to see, at first.

Every sad girl can get lost in this pure k-pop dream that reads a lot like fanfic.

The performances are great. It was like watching TV while being able to do other things. I am hoping for a continuation.
