About this listen
Welp, we lost the election, and the fact that the majority of the USA hates trans people, gay people, and women is on full display.
As the holidays approach, I wanted to take a moment and remind you that being a person who is anchored into love as a concept is not the same as being a person who harms the self, suppresses our needs, or puts ourselves in harms way. In fact tolerance that suppresses the self is not actual tolerance, it's enabling. Don't surround yourself with those who are out of alignment. Don't go to Thanksgiving if everyone there voted to strip you of your basic human rights.
In this episode we explore the idea of Love, desire, and preference, and how these things are separate, but vital for our human experience. Love can exist without it being a harmful for us. We can be people who prioritize love, without being people who force ourselves to go to Thanksgiving and listen to our drunk uncle talk shit about us to our face.
