In Cairo, 1974, a mysterious stranger warns the KGB: “Stop trying to kill me or I will reveal everything that happened in Berlin, back in 1972!” This is ex-CIA agent Vance Calhoun. Flashback to 1972 - Vance announces his plans for Operation Cordelia, a mysterious op to redeem himself for a career of selfishness and ruthlessness. First, it’s really good and I think I’ll listen again because it’s hard to follow because of the fast pace and the vintage tape effects. But all of that seemed well done just like the acting. Very well done. I wish there was more and I wish it was longer and a bit slower. I could have used more pauses. Honestly it could have been slowed down with a few more pauses and made twice as long most of the time. And some scenes could use a little more explanation. But I didn’t give it fewer stars because I just have never heard anything like it before and the story was really good. Enjoy!

Well Done!

This was done by People Who Know What They Are Doing. This is a full cast comedy-espionage-thriller with a cast full of top-notch vocal performers. I typically wouldn’t remark on the details of the recording itself, but the sound design is part of the “collected recordings” nature of this project, and stands out as a highlight of it’s own. To all involved, pat yourselves on the back and take a bow. Well done.

(This series is geared to a somewhat more adult listener, for those sensitive to swearing or brief episodes of intimacy)

Just, wow.
