Today's special guest is Broadway actress, producer, musician, and activist, Christianne Tisdale. Christianne made her Broadway debut as Belle in Beauty and the Beast. Other credits include: Triumph of Love, Les Misérables, and Wicked. She has also appeared onstage at many prominent regional theatre companies across the country and abroad. Christianne can currently be seen on Broadway in WICKED. Previous credits include: Madame Thenardier in the 2014 revival of Les Misérables. She was a member of the Original Revival Cast as "Madame Whore" and "Innkeeper's Wife." She made her Broadway debut in 1995 as Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Seemingly specializing in princesses and cross-dressers, she followed this with occasional appearances as Princess Leonide in the Original Broadway Cast of Triumph of Love opposite F. Murray Abraham and Betty Buckley. 1999 was spent touring the U.S. aboard the 1st National Tony Award-winning Titanic as "Lady Caroline", and 2000 featured an exciting turn in the star-studded I Getta Kick Out of You (a celebration of 300 years of Yale talent) at the New Amsterdam Theatre, directed by Richard Maltby. On London's West End, she kicked up her heels as "Molly" in Kurt Weill's One Touch of Venus. In 2012, she was an original cast member of the re-imagined classic, On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, at the St. James Theatre.

She is a proud recipient of the Kevin Kline Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Musical for The Drowsy Chaperone. A native of New York, Christianne attended Yale, where she was awarded Distinction in her Major. She resides in NY, is an accomplished Reiki Master, and studies acting with the indomitable Sande Shurin (whose highly accessible and bounteous books she edits).
