  • Summary

  • One year almost to the day before Jade disappeared, Nicole’s oldest daughter, Jocelyn, and her partner, Rudy Perez, were shot and killed at their home near Wind River. The double homicide highlighted the longstanding epidemic of Indigenous people going missing and being murdered at a much higher rate than the national average.

An issue that needs to be talked about!

Interesting podcast that is very well read. Informative interviews and detailed information given firsthand from those directly affected. After seeing the movie Wind River a few years ago I was shocked at the number of MMIW! I learned about how the reservations and states have separate law enforcement agencies and was horrified by the differences in staffing and funding between the two. Something has to give for the people that rightfully live here. The tragedies in their history begin long before this epidemic and its about time we help them find relief! Their land was stolen and now they are a people being forgotten 💔

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
