Brilliant insights into the how ptsd & any trauma affects our responses to future situations.

As Gabor says it is not a question of quantifying an individual’s expression his trauma but of acceptance that if a person finds a situation traumatic then that is the truth. It is how that pain is processed and dealt with in our bodies that either brings outcomes of inner strength or inner weakness. This was a brilliant and enlightening episode thank you both very much.

Trauma Dismantled: The Answer To Escape Addiction

Thank you. A very needed conversation and exploration of dealing with trauma to escape addiction. Plauged with chronic relapse, this platformed confirmed what I innately knew was the need to explore the root stemming from trauma and emotional pain.

Good series; but not this episode

I know trauma research and the long term mental health consequences of trauma. There were some great things said by Gabor Mate’ but he totally lost credibility with me when he justified completely losing his temper with his wife when she forgot to pick him up at the airport…because of abandonment issues with his mother at 1 year of age?!?! YUK. I also call into question his probing of Deepak r/t the death of his grandfather. But the airport story was just too much. This is such an important topic but he was not the right interviewee, in my opinion.
