 Today India finds itself at the top in the world when producing female graduates in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) but ranks 19th in employing them. Nearly 43% of young Indians who graduate in science in STEM disciplines are women. Of these just 3 % of women enroll for Ph.D. in science and 6 % opt for a Ph.D. in Engineering and Technology.
