We then take a deep dive into the November 1, 1984 issue of Grand National Scene. There’s a big multicar crash, a flip and one heck of a finish between Bill Elliott and Harry Gant in the Winston Cup event at Rockingham. The weekend is a sad one for Sam Ard, his friends and family after he was involved in a terrible crash that ended his driving career.
