Banasura, the eldest son of King Bali and was given a benediction by Lord Shiva that his kingdom would be granted protection from all threats. So, when it was time for Banasura to fight Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva descended along with his sons to fight alongside his ardent devotee. An epic battle ensued between the two Supreme Lords and Universe watched it with bathed breath.
The reason for the fight?. Well it was the love between Anirudh (grandson of Krishna) and Usha (daughter of Asur Banasura)
