After the Big Banks were stabilized by taxpayer dollars, Congress held hearings to uncover the real roots of the financial crisis. What they found was stunning - but the bigger shock was what happened next.©2021 Meltdown Pod LLC (P)2021 Audible Originals, LLC

David Sirota’s account and narration “reads” like a thriller. I already knew a lot about thus crisis from having lived through it, but was not aware of the extent of the inside machinations to which the Obama admin protected Wall Street from consequences and subsequently weakened the Dodd Frank legislation passed in the wake of the crisis. Makes sense of how so many rural working class Obama voters switched to Trump and Blacks not showing up for Hillary. We really are living in a one party state with 2 heads. Not sure how or even if America can take back democracy at this point in time.

Riveting inside account of the housing crisis and its present day consequences

Don’t listen if you don’t want to be angry about all the horrible things that happen when your powerful. So upsetting to rehash.

It’s so upsetting to hear this

David Sirota and his team do a remarkable job explaining what really happened during the 2008 Financial Crisis and how morally bankrupt the party in office had been at the time. We see the same distrust in our government today as the structures of power have not changed.

Excellent piece, History is repeating itself
