A waste of my valuable listening time

I’m not sure where the entertainment value is. The first minutes are disturbing enough with the way the husband treats the wife. Then, after the way their friends and neighbors talk to them, it just gets harder and harder to listen to as so many people treat each other badly. If that’s realistic behavior then fine, but I don’t find it entertaining one bit.

Very annoying twist

The twist is chapter 6 instantly made me hate the story. It made me angry actually and could not listen any further.

So far, it’s interesting

Spooky season is here! I swear this is a movie but not 100% sure. The few bad comments are obviously from people who have no experience with racism directed AT THEM so I would take their “review” with a grain of salt!

Trigger warning

It’s a good book, just prepare to be upset. Some of the scene cut too close to home. But definitely a good read.

Good so far!

So far I like this and can't wait to hear the rest. I wish there were more episodes.

Waste of time

This was not exciting or suspenseful. From the beginning its focused on race; how white people are always discriminating against black people. So over that narrative that’s constantly being pushed. Huge waste of time. If this is the type of content we can expect audible to be pushing now I’ll be canceling my membership.

Nope, immediate stop

This was fine and kind of creepy until the police show up and act completely unreasonable, because of course it's about race. It then devolves into the main character, who is African American, ranting at his friend who took him in, who is white, that white people are the problem. The character pretty much goes "yep" and at that point I stopped.

This turned from creepy into a joke in one episode. The premise is so off the rails and unlikely that I just couldn't sit through it.
