About this listen

When a young white woman named Gabby Petito, goes missing in Wyoming in 2021, the national media obsessively follows her case. Untold resources are applied to find her. But the disparity between how law enforcement and the media respond to Gabby Petito’s missing person’s case versus Jade Wagon’s, plainly exposes the inequity and injustice that Nicole Wagon, Cara Chambers, Emily Grant, and others have been working so hard to correct. The media takes notice of the imbalance and puts a long overdue spotlight on the problem of missing and murdered Indigenous people on the Wind River Reservation and throughout the nation.©2023 Audible Originals, LLC (P)2023 Audible Originals, LLC

I enjoyed this podcast of The disappearance of native American people. and the news media does not push for more native American people don't have the resources to do more research for the investigation of murders. it is sad that they had transpired and take an act of Congress to investigate more into this woman's children and how many more native American people have disappeared. it is sad.

Shines a light on how Indigenous and minorities go unrecognized in the media when it comes to unsolved deaths and missing women.

I love this form of podcast/storytelling journalism. This story is crazy that it hasn’t gotten more coverage.

Moving storytelling

The sorrow and strength of Ms. Nicole Wagon will sink into your psyche and stay with you. This is a powerfully moving series and my prayer is that it reaches the right hearts and spurs the necessary investigations that are warranted. But every American should listen! These are OUR daughters, sisters, cousins, mothers, aunts, granddaughters, wives and girlfriends. They couldn’t be more American if they tried! They deserve our full attention and intervention.

Haunting

A heartbreaking story that should be heard by all. I hope that this story can help make a difference in the media, and a systemic change can happen with this being brought to light.

Poignant story and a must listen

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

Gabby Petito had an army of people looking for her and demanding justice. Murdered and missing indigenous women meeting the same fate do not get even a fraction of that attention.

Not unsurprisingly story of discrepancies
