Out in New York this week, this is a thrilling boxing drama capturing a chapter in true-life story of Italian-American boxer Willie Pep. Set in 1960s the film works with several genres (comedy, mockumentary and drama) and has star making performances from its leads James Maddio and Ruby Wolf. Kolodny discusses his process, his inspirations, how he toggles between directing and cinematography, among other topics.
