I had the honor of being joined by Matthew Knott, a former Product Manager at Idemia, on this episode. He shared his extensive knowledge and experiences on the current status of biometrics hardware and software in the government sector. During his time at Idemia, Matthew managed a collection of 7 Biometric Identity software as a service (SaaS) products with two software engineering teams responsible for products in Civil and Government markets. Matthew is a leader in product management in Adtech, biometrics, and e-Commerce. Additionally, he is an educator, volunteer, and real estate investor.
During our conversation in this episode, we covered various biometric topics. We discussed the development of biometric devices, the challenges and current state of the user experience, differences between hosted and cloud deployments, and pricing for biometric services in government settings.
