Bernie is a Banana Slug. He lives below the strawberry patch in Mrs. Macintyre's garden bed. He wakes up one spring morning and crawls out of his apartment. He crawls past some noisy wood bugs up to the surface. It is a warm spring day and he lets the wind caress his mantle. He hears a shriek. Suddenly he is flying through the air, over the fence into the woods beyond. This is  where his adventure begins.

Part One of Two

 One day while eating lunch with her friend, Lily told a lie. It wasn’t a big lie. It didn’t hurt anyone. She thought that lies that didn’t hurt anyone were ok to tell especially if the lies helped you a little. The little lies did help or so Lily thought. 

 But little lies turn into medium lies.

Medium lies turn into big lies.

 Big lies turn into Monster lies.

 That is when the problem starts. Lily’s lies turn into real monsters with buggy eyes and big slimy teeth. They appear everywhere and taunt her. Lily cannot escape until she discovers the one single thing that can destroy a Lie Monster especially an Eleventy Headed one.

But when things did not go as planned Little Trouble invited Big Trouble and when that did not work , Big Trouble invited Terrible Trouble. And that is when things went horribly wrong.

The Owl Who Thought He was a Mouse

Rodney, the field mouse, is returning home in a thunder storm when he discovers a baby bird hanging from his claw by a red ribbon.  The bird's nest had been destroyed by  a bolt of lightning. Rodney rescues him. He and his friends nurse the baby bird back to health. The baby bird was a saw whet owl and grown up owls eat mice.
Soon the baby owl is too big for the mouse burrow and the mice decide to teach him to fly. Listen to the story to find out how Freddy, the now grown owl, repays the mice for their kindness.
