  • BEYOND THE MEETING:: How You Can Leave a Lasting Impact
    Jun 30 2025
THE BOOK OF RUTH| GOD’S RESTORATION PLAN| Preservation and Prospective Living| Discipleship |Session-21| 2025| CHIMDI OHAHUNA Welcome to the latest episode on the Study of the Book of Ruth. In this episode, we examine the profound truth found in Ruth 1:7: Encounter determines people's conviction about God. We ask ourselves an essential question—what do people encounter when they meet you? This episode emphasizes the crucial relationship between encounters and revelation. Just as the baptism of Jesus and His transfiguration on the mount provided significant revelations, our interactions can leave lasting impressions that shape others’ perceptions of God. When we reflect the life of Christ, those around us should feel that a part of us remains with them long after our time together. We address the connections between helplessness and fear, highlighting how revealing the true nature of God leads to genuine revelation rather than condemnation. When individuals meet you, they should feel they are encountering God. These divine encounters encourage a deeper acceptance and foster a progressive journey of faith centered on an increasing revelation of Christ. The experiences of Ruth and Oprah serve as powerful illustrations in this context. Both women had significant encounters with God through Naomi, yet their responses to these experiences were distinct. This distinction raises an important consideration: while we may have similar encounters, our individual responses can determine whether we advance from simply "follow me" to the transformative question, "lovest thou me?" In concluding this teaching episode, we emphasize that the question "lovest thou me?" is vital for preserving our work before God in the end. How we present Jesus shapes how those around us understand Him. Join us for this enlightening teaching session that encourages meaningful encounters and challenges you to reflect on your impact in the lives of others. Let’s engage in this rich study of faith, conviction, and the revelations that arise from our encounters with the God. Don’t miss it! • YOUR NEST OF REST: The Journey from Temporary to Eternal Provision
    Jun 25 2025
THE BOOK OF RUTH| GOD’S RESTORATION PLAN| Preservation and Prospective Living| Discipleship |Session-20| 2025| CHIMDI OHAHUNA Welcome back to the GRACELIFECOMI podcast! In this week’s enlightening episode, Pastor Chimdi Ohahuna presents a fresh perspective on the profound themes found within the Book of Ruth. Drawing from Ruth 1:7, unraveling themes of rest, provision, and divine guidance. Join us in this session as we explore the pivotal moments in Ruth's journey and discover how they resonate deeply with our own lives today. Key Lessons Unpacked in This Episode: - The Journey from Moab to Bethlehem (Ruth 1:7): We open with the narrative of Ruth as she leaves her home in Moab to embrace the land of Bethlehem—the house of bread. We discuss the symbolism of this shift and its importance in our spiritual journeys, emphasizing the call to abandon worldly comforts for divine provision. - A Legacy of Faith (Job 29:18): Reflecting on the fate of Joseph, who requested that his bones be transported to Canaan, we illustrate the importance of not resting in temporary circumstances. No matter where you are in life, stay committed to your divine calling, knowing that true rest comes from God. - The True Meaning of Rest: Insights from Hebrews 10 remind us that God invites us into His rest, which transcends any earthly provision. In a world where distractions abound, we discuss the necessity of maintaining our rest in Christ amidst trials and temptations. - The Role of Seasons and Isolation: We explore the concept of being in a cave or a season of isolation. In these moments, God often prepares us for greater things. It's during these challenging times that we can truly understand what it means to depend wholly on Him, demonstrating that rest often disguises itself in discomfort. - The Distinction Between Worldly Bread and the Bread of Life: Drawing parallels between the bread offered by the world and the Bread of Life, we address the crucial understanding that not all 'food' nurtures our souls. Only the Bread found in divine rest can sustain us, while worldly provisions lead to temporary satisfaction. - Fellowship and Spiritual Provision: We dive into the significance of prayer and fellowship—not merely to meet physical needs but to address deeper spiritual hunger. Understanding this shifts our perspective on what it means to truly be fulfilled. - Resolute Patience and Spiritual Growth: Encourage patience within yourself and your journey. Trust that God is at work in your rest, and that He will provide what you need in His perfect timing. - The Power of Prophecy: We touch on Bethlehem's prophetic significance as the land of David and ultimately Christ. We remind listeners that standing firm on God’s promises equips us to withstand battles until those prophecies come to fruition. Throughout this episode, we emphasize that true joy and comfort can only be found in God's rest. We intersperse personal insights and testimonies, inviting you to reflect on your own experiences in relation to Ruth's journey and the overarching message of redemption and provision. This phrase serves as a metaphor for how the Holy Spirit gifts believers with spiritual insights and prophetic understanding, equipping them for the mission of spreading God’s love and truth to the world. Utilizing esteemed commentaries from Joseph Benson, John Wesley, John Gill, and others, we will unpack the Apostle Paul’s exhortation to Timothy—encouraging us not to despise prophecy, but to embrace it as a powerful tool guiding us through life's uncertainties. Discover how prophetic messages serve as a spiritual compass, foretelling not only the trials ahead but also the glory that awaits those who follow Christ. We will examine the richness of prophecy, including its biblical roots in the Old Testament and how it manifests today through visions, dreams, and inspired utterances. What does it look like when the body of Christ collectively learns to recognize and respond to God’s voice? We’ll discuss how prophecy can provide us divine insights for personal edification and preparation for the future. In this revealing episode, we’ll spotlight how prophecy is intricately tied to love and the gospel message. You'll learn that every statement of God’s love for humanity is, in its essence, a prophecy waiting to be shared. As Christ is proclaimed, the gift of prophecy empowers believers to speak forth God’s heart and intentions for His Church and the world. • The Power of Prospective Living
    Jun 5 2025
THE BOOK OF RUTH| GOD’S RESTORATION PLAN| Preservation and Prospective Living| Discipleship |Session-19| 2025| CHIMDI OHAHUNA Welcome to another episode where we draw lessons and focus on Ruth 1:7-11 and Job 29:18, highlighting the themes of preservation, the importance of a prospective mindset, and the actions that align us with God’s will. In life’s journey, preservation is our greatest priority, especially in times of distress. Life is far more valuable than luxury. As believers, understanding this principle is crucial. When you're facing challenges or experiencing hardships, reveals that God is boasting about you. Every challenge you encounter is a sign of God’s trust in you. Rather than merely observing the difficulties surrounding you, concentrate on what God is doing. Your trials shouldn’t be interpreted as defeat, but as a testimony of God’s confidence in you. Just as Job faced immense suffering yet remained steadfast, we too can find strength in the assurance that God has a purpose for our lives during trying times. In Job 29, we discover that God has secret things meant for us that align our paths and destinies. When the secret of God is upon your tabernacle, it directs you towards your purpose. It’s vital to seek these divine secrets. True faith manifests through action. Helping the poor or those who are vulnerable should be a natural response in our lives, aligning with the compassionate heart of God. Living solely in retrospect hinders our ability to perceive God’s preservation in our lives. It can create a cycle of depression, as we become obsessed with what has been lost rather than focusing on the present and the future that God offers. Every moment spent grieving over the past is essentially a moment wasted. Instead, we must make the present count. Living in the past can trap us in a denial of our future. God calls us to look forward, to embrace a prospective life. When we approach God, we should come with the expectation of what He can do next in our lives rather than dwelling on stale memories. Prospect invigorates our spirits; it fuels our desire to fulfill our God-given destinies. The dangers of becoming ensnared in retrospective thinking can be likened to a cancer that slowly erodes our hope and joy. Every time we entertain thoughts of regret or loss, we risk giving power to those negative feelings. In contrast, a prospective mindset leads us to engage positively with God’s promises. An example is the story of the prodigal son, who despite losing everything, found the courage to return to his father with a prospective heart. Regardless of the losses you may have experienced, there is always hope for the present and the future. Recognize that God’s grace is sufficient, and with it, you can embrace your journey moving forward. Moreover, depression often finds its roots in a retrospective viewpoint where one engages deeply with past failures and disappointments, allowing the enemy to sow seeds of despair. Instead, choose to engage with God, viewing your past through the lens of God’s unending love and future potential. This teaching reveals that preservation is life, not merely luxury. Every challenge we face is an opportunity to demonstrate God’s mighty hand at work. Seek the secrets of God, engage actively with those in need, and choose to live prospectively. Your future is bright as long as you remain focused on what lies ahead. Embrace God’s promises, let them guide your steps, and remember, no matter the trials or losses you may face, the potential for a beautiful future remains firmly in your grasp. Thank you for joining and listening to the full teaching session. Carry these lessons from Ruth with you as you navigate your own life journey, and let God's preservation and purpose shine brightly in all that you do.
