    Gandasa! is a beautiful Punjabi short story written by famous Punjabi writer Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi originally in Urdu Language. Numerous Punjabi movies have been inspired by directly and indirectly from this Punjabi short story, naming few would be 'Vaishi Jatt', Maula Jatt and 'The Legend of Maula Jatt'.

    Talking about the main theme of the story, it revolves around the idea of 'vengeance and revenge. Maula's father is killed by her contemporary which actually changes everything. His life after that moment becomes real and drowns him into dark abyss.

    Where will this 'vengeance' take maula? Would he wander here and there for the whole of his life? These questions would encompass consciousness of listeners while listening to this tragic short story.
