today we tackle the topic of self appointed gatekeepers, the keepers of the watch that decide weather or not something is what it claims to be, or is a part of something it claims inclusion into. If we are all being honest with ourselves, we have all been guilty of this, who hasn't ever started a sentence with phrases like, "well real metal fans think", or "that band isn't metal because", or my favorite (and one ive personally used) "back in my day we considered __________ to be _________ "(fill in the blank). but at the end of the day they are all just personal opinions with usually no real right or wrong.
